PRESENTATION NIGHT

After much conjecture both within the Club and within the Southern Combination Football League, the future of Senior 2nd tier side was final confirmed at the League's AGM on Tuesday 28 June.

The Club has seen much success through its 2nd Senior team in the last two season, finishing 2nd in the Reserve Section West in 2014/15 and winning the inaugural U21 West Division last season. In both seasons the Club has been able to build on its commitment to develop young players and this desire has not wavered when looking towards the 2016/17 season. As such the Club opted to go into a newly formed single-division Reserve Section as it will provide both the logistics and challenge that is required to aid the transition of young talent into the First Team.

The Reserve Section will offer 26 league matches, primarily on Saturdays, and whilst it is recognised that other clubs will use this option to play older players, its is the Club's policy to promote youth and despite the lack of age restrictions, this will continue to be the case wherever possible in this competition.

The Magpies can now look forward to going up against Arundel, Broadbridge Heath, Chichester, Haywards Heath, Lancing, Lingfield, Midhurst & Easebourne, Mile Oak, Ringmer, Saltdean, Selsey, Steyning and Storrington.
