Fri. 13 May '16
PRESENTATION NIGHT

The following has been adapted from Ollie Berry's article in the West Sussex County Times:

The Magpies have bolstered their attacking options with the re-signing of striker Charlie Pitcher.

The young forward left the Club for Ryman League South Division side Horsham in the summer, but soon after made the switch to fellow Southern Combination League side Shoreham.

With neither move has worked out for the forward and boss Mark Beard has revealed that Charlie approached him about a return as he felt he was being played out of position.

Having netted 25 times for us last season, the Manager is pleased to have the goal-getter back, being quoted as saying,

“He said he was frustrated at playing out of position at Horsham and then Shoreham. He asked to come back and I said yes, he’ll add more quality.
“He just wanted to play higher and had a go at Horsham, but was playing on the wing and he’s not a winger. He’s a goal scorer.
“He’s a great addition and we have plenty of competition for places now with Toby House, Michael Wood, Mark Cave and Jay Lovett who can all play up there.
“Hopefully he will be in the squad for Saturday (away to Lancing).”

The move is still subject to the relevant paperwork being completed, but it is hoped that this will be completed ahead of the deadline to ensure eligibility for selection on Saturday.
