PRESENTATION NIGHT

The Club's own Joel Colbran lead a Sussex FA Under 18 side to a second consecutive South East County Youth Championship title on Sunday.

The competition that sees Sussex' finest up against their counterparts from Kent, Middlesex, London and the Amateur Football Alliance is run in a round-robin format and Joel captain the side to victories in all four matches, conceding just a solitary goal in the process.

The clinching victory came on a very warm afternoon at Sussex FA HQ in Lancing against national champions Middlesex. Alfie Rodgers of Horsham FC scored the opening goal with Jack Newhouse adding the second just before halftime.

It was particularly pleasing to beat Middlesex as they defeated Cornwall in the national final who were the destroyer of Sussex' own hopes in the competition at the quarter final stage.

Joel has featured for this prestigious representative side in the last two seasons and his rise to captaining the side is testimony to his development both as a player and a character and all at The Club are proud of his achievements.
