The Club are saddened to confirm that Assistant Manager Chris Stygal has left The Magpies as a result of a change in personal circumstances that will see him soon move north to Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Chris arrived at the Club alongside Mark Beard as part of the Academy set-up that won back-to-back Sussex County Youth Cups and when Mark took up the reins of the 1st Team Manager role at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, Chris was installed as his assistant. In that position Chris has been invaluable bringing considerable coaching and tactical knowledge to enable the development of all that have been involved at The Nest during that period.
Chris remained in his role following Mark's departure in March and was an integral part of the Management Team under interim Manager, Dave Cocoracchio, who after recognising Chris' departure at the recent end of season Awards Night, also added the following:
"Chris has been a valued member of the coaching team for the last 3 years and his contribution over his time at the club has been outstanding. He has been a pleasure to work with, will be sorely missed by everybody involved with Loxwood, and I would like to wish him all the best for the future and know he will be a success in whatever role he pursues in football."
As part of his farewell, Chris wanted to issue the following:
"Coaching with the Under 18s and then transitioning to the 1st Team, the last 3 years have been fantastic at Loxwood. The Club setup is second to none, both on and off the pitch, and I have no doubt in the coming years that it will grow and grow.
"Its been a pleasure to coach and assist in the development of the team and I wish the club every success for the future. Special thanks to Dave Cocoracchio who gave me the opportunity along with Mark Beard to take on the role with the 1st team, along with all the staff, players and supporters who made me feel so welcome."
Chris failed to confirm whether he was adverse to living anywhere that didn't have a Magpie-related football club associated with it!
All at Loxwood wish Chris all the very best in this latest chapter of his life and look forward to welcoming him to The Nest whenever he's back down this way.
