When Newhaven visited The Nest back in September, what followed was probably the worst performance of the season from The Magpies, as such they were keen to make amends when they went to Trafalgar Road on Saturday. Unfortunately they came away with nothing like the redemption they sought.
With Joe Holvey absent, the one enforced change saw Daniel-Jordan Dominique come in at right back, and Ollie Gill started his first match since his return to the club and he linked up well with Dean Wright in the first attack of the game with the latter squaring the ball across the box to the arriving Michael Wood who calmly slotted home from 12 yards to give the visitors the lead.
