Fri. 13 May '16
PRESENTATION NIGHT

The Club can confirm that over the past few weeks conversations have taken place between First Team Manager, Dave Cocoracchio and Worthing Football Club's First Team Manager, Adam Hinshelwood and Operations Director, Calvin Buckland.

We are delighted to announce that this has resulted in a formal dual-signing arrangement between the two clubs. This agreement will commence with Loxwood signing 4 players; Matt Boiling, Reece Hallard, Ruben Schneider and Hayden Skerry for the remainder of the 2017/18 season.

Statement from Dave Cocoracchio

"I am personally delighted to have formalised this agreement with such a high-quality football club as Worthing FC. For me out of all the senior, semi-professional clubs in Sussex, Worthing offer the best pathway into senior football for young, local talent.

"Due to the amount of high-quality, young talent in their ranks, they will not all get regular opportunities to play 1st Team football and this agreement will allow them to achieve that at a like-minded club with the same values and ethics..

"I would like to formally welcome; Matt, Reece, Ruben & Hayden to Loxwood Football Club and I am excited at what I believe will be a positive and significant contribution from them, both on and off the pitch.

"Finally, I would like to express my thanks to Adam & Calvin for all of their hard work to make this happen and I look forward to what I hope will be a long and rewarding relationship."

Defender, Matt Boiling has played nearly 40 times for the Worthing 1st Team in the past two seasons. However his hopes of cementing a regular place this season have been limited by a solid defensive unit and recently spent some time on loan at Horsham.

Midfielder, Reece Hallard featured for the Loxwood U21s two season ago and has now amassed several Worthing 1st Team appearances, featuring over 20 times this season alone, but recent arrivals have seen him slip down the pecking order somewhat.

The versatile Ruben Schneider featured heavily when Adam Hinshelwood first arrived back at Worthing FC but has not appeared since December when he suffered concussion in the Sussex Senior Cup defeat at Eastbourne Borough.

The youngest of the four, Forward, Hayden Skerry is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Worthing 1st Team but has starred for their Under-18’s so far this season, netting 11 goals as the team has competed at the top of the table.
