Ahead of the 101st anniversary of Armistice Day, which marked the end of The Great War, we have been looking into our village's history, specifically in connection to The Great War and we have learnt about the 24 men that gave their lives in that conflict.

Around The Nest you will see our remembrance banners and our collection points. In addition our matchday mascots will walk out onto the pitch with the teams and serving soldier James Parr (with the RBL Standard)
ahead of a last post tribute played with thanks by Iona Harrison. Thank you for everyone's contribution.

Killed in action at the Rue De Bois 30th June 1916.
Born in Sundridge, Kent, and enlisted in Horsham.

Died at home 24th September 1918. Special reservist.

Killed in action 15th September 1916. Aged 21.

Basil John Leslie Clymping CONSTABLE

1/4th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. 53rd Division.
Killed in action during the Suvla Bay Landings 9th August 1915. Aged 30.
Son of Lionel and Emily Constable of Coates House, Fittleworth. Educated at Radley College. Included on Littlehampton W.M. and Radley College W.M.

Killed in action 26th June 1916.
