MAGPIES FLYING HIGH

Loxwood FC has become a widely respected member of the  Premier Division of the Sussex County League, always finishing the top half of the league and regularly in the top 6. Now competing every year in the FA Cup and FA Vase and we are twice winners of the U18 Sussex County Cup.

Our pitch and facilities continue to improve, befitting our Senior Football Club status, with floodlights, hard spectator standing around the pitch, a 100-seater stand, a covered stand and a modern clubhouse which have all come because of significant local fundraising, sponsors and grant  applications.  The Plaistow Road pitch is now regarded as one of the best playing surfaces in Sussex. Indeed, last season we hosted a County Cup Semi-final and Final. No doubt we will be hosting further prestige matches in the future.

We put a lot of our success down to the following key factors:
  1. A culture that places no one individual bigger than the club;
  2. A dedicated committee with a varied skill set, that has the disciplines  and standards expected of a well-run Senior Football Club;
  3. Ambition to grow – a sustainable, community based junior programme;
  4. A continued investment programme in player and spectator facilities for the future.

2015/16 was a landmark season for the Club achieving Charter Standard Club status. This is the footballing equivalent of the BS kite mark, recognition that we meet the FA standard for our administration and coaching. One of our next goals is to attain full FA Community Club  accreditation.

Last season, the Loxwood Youth Football Club was formed with 200 Junior players spanning U6 to U18s. This included the introduction of our first girls junior team at U7.

Whatever your age, gender or ability, there should be a place for you at the club whilst ensuring we position Local Community Youth football as the  primary building block on which Loxwood FC can be sustained going forward.

We can only do all this with the magnificent support from our sponsors and advertisers who we rely on heavily. Everyone is welcome to come to the Plaistow Road ground where a warm welcome awaits.
